Thanks so much for the Owner's manual for my Sony PS - FL1. I had purchased the turntable off of eBay. It came in and looked great. Packed well and appeared to be great. I balanced and aligned the tone are and hooked it up. When trying to play a record the tone are would move to the right place and just before it would drop to play it moved back off the edge of the record before touching down. I searched the net for an answer to this issue. No luck. Then I purchased the owners manual and sure enough there was a place to adjust where the stylus touched down. That adjustment solved the problem and saved me a $35 feet to have the player checked out. The manual is well written and easy to understand. It is a must have for anyone with this front loading Sony turntable.

Some years back I pruchased a Sansui G-9000. I had it cleaned up and a problem with the left channel repaired. When I got it back I hooked it up to my tape decks, turn tables, TV and it played great. The only thing I was not really satisfied with was the performance of my Graphic Equalizer. I purchased this owner's manual had poured myself a cup of coffee. The manual is well organized and written in plain language. It also contained the solution to my dissatisfaction. By using the preamp connections coupled I was able to run everything through my graphic equalizer and now enjoy the full potential of my complete system.

An excellent service for the price, however, it would also have been handy if the troubleshooter pages were included. The manual is only sent in the language of your country, thus it looks as though there are some pages missing. Otherwise highly recommended.

4 One-Touch Dialer
4-A Storing Phone Numbers in Memory
You can store a number in each auto dial button ((DIRECT) or (EMERGENCY)). Do not press any one-touch auto dial buttons before storing to prevent misoperation. It is recommended that you program an emergency number in the (EMERGENCY) button.

6 When finished, hang up.
� To store other number repeat step 1 to 6. � If a pause is required for dialing, press (PAUSE) where needed. Pressing (PAUSE) counts as one digit (5-C).

5-C How to Use the PAUSE Button (For Analog PBX
Line/Long Distance Service Users)
We recommend that you press (PAUSE) if a pause is required for dialing with a PBX or to access a long distance service. Ex. Line access number (9) (PBX) (9) (PAUSE) Phone number

5-A For Call Waiting Service Users
To erase a stored number Lift the handset (PAUSE) press (PROGRAM) (PROGRAM) Press (FLASH) if you hear a call-waiting tone while talking.
� The first call is put on hold and you can answer the second call. � To return to the first caller, press (FLASH) again.

5-B Temporary Tone Dialing
(For Rotaty or Pulse Service Users)
Press (TONE) before entering access numbers which require tone dialing.
� After a few seconds, the dialing mode changes to tone. You can enter numbers to access answering services, electronic banking services, etc. When you hang up, the dialing mode will return to pulse.

Lift the handset Phone number (up to 16 digits) During a conversation, press (PROGRAM) twice one-touch auto dial button ((DIRECT) or (EMERGENCY)). Hang up.

4-B Dialing a Stored Number

Lift the handset. Press the one-touch auto dial button ((DIRECT) or (EMERGENCY)).
� The stored number is dialed.

� Pressing (PAUSE) once creates a few seconds pause. This prevents misdialing when you redial or dial a stored number. � Pressing (PAUSE) more than once increases the length of the pause between numbers.

4 Press (PROGRAM). 5 Press a one-touch auto dial button
((DIRECT) or (EMERGENCY)).

� The (REDIAL) button does not work for one-touch dialer. To dial the number again, hang up and repeat steps 1 to 2. � If the telephone line cord is disconnected more than 3 days, the stored numbers may be erased. Store phone numbers again.

The unit does not work. The call cannot be connected even when you dialed correctly. The unit does not ring. You cannot store a phone number in memory.

� Environment _ do not place the unit in room where the temperature is less than 5oC (41oF) or greater than 40oC (104oF). Allow 10 cm (4") clearance around the unit for proper ventilation. Avoid excessive smoke, dust, mechanical vibration, shock or direct sunlight. � Routine care _ wipe the unit with a soft cloth. Do not use benzine, thinner, or any abrasive powder.
