Pioneer CDXP23S is an old model and has been top useful for me to find this Manual. CD Player is still repaired.

Inventory (Stock): a rather extensive list of service manuals, which are hard to find, especially 15+ yrs old.
Pricing: very reasonable.

Service Manual: a rather complete OEM service manual (15.5MB pdf file size). Scan quality was very good, accept for a few circuit board diagrams that were dark; Zooming, however, clarified the image. Has the required information for servicing the LD Player.

Removal of the Decoration Ring
--- WHEN DISASSEMBLING / ASSEMBLING ---*.When removing and installing the "Screw (B)", use a VFK1390. Otherwise, Lens Mount u may be damaged. --- WHEN ASSEMBLING ---*.When assembling, do not reuse screws (D). (Use new one.) *.Tighten the 4 screws (C) and (D) in numerical order.
--- WHEN DISASSEMBLING ---*.Since the Decoration Ring which is stick on Lens Ring Front, Apply the heating air using Hair dryer. *.Peel off the Decoration ring by inserting the minus-driver between the Decoration Ring and Lens Ring Front. (Be careful not to damage the surface of the lens and/or Lens Ring Front.) --- WHEN ASSEMBLING ---*Do not use the removed (Used) Decoration Ring. Use new one. *.Peel off the Decoration Ring from the separator sheet. *.Stick the Decoration Ring to the Lens Ring Front that concave part to be toward the "X" direction. *.Press the Decoration (RFKZ0423) Ring with Name Ring Fixture
