I Recently purchased yet another Service Manual from Owner-Manuals.com, this time for a Sony EVS700ES/UB Videocassette Recorder. The Manual was available for upload within two hours and is an Extremely Good copy, as some of this I was able to enlarge to get even better detail.

ADJUSTMENT
Common Electrode Drive Signal Level Adjustment *After leaving the system in a 40O C thermostatic oven for more than an hour, perform the following adjustments inside the thermostat oven. *Use the specified video (obtained by entering pause mode in the first scene in Chapter 2 of DVD "HAWAII") for the adjustments. 1. Set the video mode to ZOOM and adjust SVR701 to minimize flickering. 2. Set the video mode to CINEMA and make sure that the flickering characteristic is not deteriorated. 3. Leave the system in a 60OC thermostat oven for more than an hour, display the specified video inside the oven and make sure that the flickering characteristic is not deteriorated. Horizontal Line Adjustment in Vertical Expansion Mode *After completing the common electrode drive signal level adjustment, perform the following adjustments in the same oven and using the same video. 1. Set the video mode to ZOOM and adjust SVR702 to obtain the best horizontal line. 2. Set the video mode to CINEMA and make sure that the horizontal line is not deteriorated.
