Complete service manual in very good scanning quality with all schematic and PWB graphics as well as assembly & maintenance instructions. A slight drawback is that the rastering of the PWB graphics sometimes makes it a bit difficult to follow fine traces, but no showstopper.

Agitator Assembly Replacement
Removal/Replacement
1. Place carpet-bare floor selector in CARPET position. 2. Remove lower plate. 3. Remove agitator by carefully lifting out.
1. Remove the lower plate as outlined in the LOWER PLATE REPLACEMENT and BELT REPLACEMENT sections.
3.10. Motor Protector Replacement
3.10.1. Removal
1. Remove the dust cover, motor case and motor support cover as outlined earlier in this manual.
4. Remove worn or broken belt.
3.8.2.
Installation
1. Loop new belt (Panasonic Type UB8 only) around motor shaft and brush pulley; see illustration for correct belt routing. 2. Remove the motor protector cover, by releasing one of the tabs that secure it to the dust compartment. Take care not to break the tabs during removal.
3.10.2. Installation
1. Reinstall the motor protector and protector spring into the dust compartment. Replace the motor protector cover by applying pressure until both tabs snap into place. 2. Reinstall motor support cover, motor case and dust cover as outlined earlier in this model. NOTE: For general servicing, it is necessary to eliminate pinching of any wire during reassembly. After servicing any electrical component or electrical enclosure, the unit should be reassembled and checked for dielectric breakdown or current leakage.
2. Reinstall agitator back into nozzle housing grooves. 3. After reinstalling the agitator, turn it by hand to make sure that belt is not twisted or pinched and that all rotating parts turn freely.
3.11. Headlight Bulb Replacement
3.11.1. Removal
1. Disconnect power cord from electrical outlet. Lower handle to lay vacuum cleaner flat. 2. Pry out light lens at slots by inserting screwdriver into slot, pushing down on the lens and rotating the screwdriver handle toward unit.
4. Reinstall lower plate.
