 VSXD701S PIONEER Owner's Manual by Brad Copeland;
I purchased the unit from a private party and the original owners manual was not available. Having the ability to download it was extremely helpful and clarified operating the equipment immensely. This is a complicated unit and without the manual I would not have been able to maximize it's potential. Thank you.
 TK-361 KENWOOD Owner's Manual by Anthony Barnes Smith;
Being a user of older radios of many kinds, preferring them over more modern rigs, this manual was invaluable in the programming of my two. I now know for certain what the assorted buttons functions are, and am very grateful to have found this excellent site. Many thanks for your assistance, Tony.

Protect Recordings from Accidental Erasure
b a c You can make your MDs impossible to be recorded on by sliding the record-protect tab on the MDs to open the record-protect hole. To make the MDs recordable again, return the record-protect tab.

Check the Contents of Recording Immediately
Immediately after recording is stopped, press the n button. The playback of the recording starts from where the recording was started. To playback from the beginning of the MD, immediately after recording is stopped, press the e button again. Then, press the n button to start playback. If you have left the MD-121 unused since recording has stopped, both the playing track number indication in the track number display and that in the time display should be flashing. Pressing the PLAY button in this state causes the track whose track number indicators are flashing to play.

Storage Period of Backup Data
The recorded contents will be backed up inside the MD-121 even if the MD recorders power cord is accidentally unplugged or if a power failure occurs before they are stored to the disc (when TOC is lit) or when they are being stored to the disc (when TOC is flashing). You can restore the data which was backed up during such an accident or power failure by pressing the STAND-BY/ON button after plugging in the power cord or immediately after the power failure is solved. Note, however, that the period in which the backup data is stored is approx. only 2 weeks. So, especially after a power failure, perform the above procedures as soon as possible after power is restored.
