Having bought a pre-owned Sony FM stereo tuner through eBay, it came without any manuals. It soon became clear that to get the best from this excellent tuner I needed a decent manual because much of the operation was not intuitive to a newboy to hi fi like me. I managed to download the official Sony multi-lingual manual from Owner-Manuals.com with no problem at all - a really quick and easy service. I'm very glad I did because I found out all the operations of the tuner and was then able to not only set it up quickly but also to get much more from it that poke-and-hope trialling would ever achieve. In my book $4.99 very well spent.

Automatische SP/LP- Umschaltung
A: Wenn die Bandrestlaufzeit beim Start einer programmierten Aufnahme nicht ausreicht um die Sendung bis zum Ende aufzunehmen, schaltet die Funktion SP/LP auf die Bandgeschwindigkeit LP um. So wird sichergestellt, dass die ganze Sendung aufgenommen wird. Falls die Bandrestzeit auch im LP-Mode nicht ausreicht, kann die Sendung nicht bis zum Ende aufgenommen werden.
D Eine automatische Umschaltung in den EP-Mode ist nicht möglich.

VPS/PDC
VPS/PDC- Funktion
Einstellung für die Steuerung von Aufnahmestart und -ende durch ein spezielles Signal. Wenn eine Fernsehsendung überzogen wird, vorzeitig endet bzw. früher oder später als geplant beginnt, synchronisiert diese Funktion den Aufnahmestart und -stopp mit dem effektiven Beginn und Ende der Sendung. EIN : Der Sender sendet VPS/PDC-Signale. Die programmierte Zeit muss mit der in Programmzeitschriften angegebenen Zeit übereinstimmen. Wird eine spezielle VPS-Zeit ausgewiesen, muss diese verwendet werden. - - - : Der Sender sendet keine VPS/PDC-Signale. Wählen Sie die Start- und Stoppzeit so, dass bei Programmverschiebungen der gesamte Film aufgenommen werden kann.
