Great manual, great price. Has a few of the basic operating instructions that most service manuals leave out. Complete instructions for disassembling board by board, safety precautions, schematics, complete parts list.

I am very pleased with the service manual for my RT-909. This was an easy purchase and great procuct, and much cheaper than other venues i had looked at. This web site is now listed in my favorites list. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. THANKS. J. BROWN

I found this service manual to be complete in every detail except for troubleshooting charts. It would be helpful if it had a set of troubleshooting charts; however it is a very good manual otherwise and for the price it is very well worth it.
4.18 Cleaning the Unit
Use a mild cleaning solution on a lint-free cloth to wipe the machines cover, handset and paper cassette tray. Never spray cleaner directly onto the fax machine as the spray could damage components inside the fax.
Cleaning the Document Feeder Area
If the unit is not feeding documents properly, perform this procedure: 1. Turn off your fax machine. 2. Get a soft, lint-free cloth. 3. Moisten the cloths as follows: One of the two cloths with isopropyl alcohol The other cloth with a cleaner suitable for use on platen/rubber rollers. 4. Open the scanner cover by holding the scanner cover release. 5. Use the moistened cloth (see step 2 and step3) to clean the face of rollers. Rotate the rollers by hand to allow cleaning of the entire roller surface.
Cleaning the Inside of Contact Glass
If you find your fax recipients complaining that the faxes you send are streaked, the inside of contact glass surface may be dirty. 1. Turn off your fax machine. 2. Get a soft, lint-free cloth. 3. Open the scanner cover by holding the scanner cover release. 4. Remove the contact glass as shown. 5. Use the cloth with isopropyl alcohol to clean the contact glass. Note: Do not touch the contact glass directly by hand. Please put on your gloves. Do not use abrasive materials on the contact glass.
