8. Troubleshooting
If the problems described below occur, it does not necessarily mean that the recorder is faulty. Check the suggested items before requesting repairs. Problem Nothing appears on the display. Check this � Are the batteries exhausted? � Are the batteries inserted with the correct polarity?
* If neither of the above apply, try the reset procedure.
Nothing happens when any button is pressed. The recorder will not record. The recorded voice is not audible. The recorded voice is too low. The duration of the recorded audio is shorter than the actual recording time The beginning of the recording is cut off. The recording is hard to hear. � Is the HOLD switch set to the locked position? � Are the batteries exhausted? � If the �FULL� indication is displayed, try deleting some unwanted files. � Is the earphone connected? � Is the volume set too low? � Is the microphone sensitivity set to LOW during recording? Set the microphone sensitivity to HIGH. � Is silence skip recording turned on?
� Is the recording mode set to LP?
