Actually, I was looking for this information for 3 years!...now thanks to you, the manual is on my hands and of great help, cause I understand now where I was doing wrong connections and wires...excellent, I'll be back to you if in need, thank you.

This manual covers the main equipment features only. While it also includes the procedure for saving and loading from the now long obsolete memory cards it does not mention the how to operate with the optional floppy drive interface so I am still at a loss about how to use this! Note that there is a separate manual covering the MIDI interface and programming via the keyboard, not included in this download. You will also need to get hold of this if you want to use the MIDI interface properly. Basically there is little difference between this manual and the free to download manual for the similar PR60 model.

Good list of manuals. I found a very rare one and easily get. Should be promptly to download, as we must to wait hours even after confirmed payment.

Removing the drive
To remove the drive, proceed as follows: Pull the two-pin end of the i.LINK drives cable from the notebooks S400 i.LINK connector and the VAIO peripheral connector.
Inserting a disc
To insert a disc, proceed as follows: 1 2 3 4 Turn on the computer. Press the eject button to open the disc drive. The tray slides out. Place a disc in the middle of the tray with the label side facing outwards until the disc clicks into place. Close the tray by pushing it gently.
When the computer is in Standby or Hibernate mode, you cannot insert or remove a disc. Be sure to seat the disc firmly over the disc drive hub fingers. If you do not seat the disc firmly, you could damage your disc drive and you may not be able to open the tray. When you have finished using a disc, wait until the LED indicator turns off and then press the eject button to remove the disc. If the tray does not come out when you press the eject button, go to My Computer. Select the drive, click the right button of your mouse and select Eject or press <Fn>+<E> keys to open the disc tray. If it still does not work, turn off the computer and insert the manual eject pin (stored on the bottom of the drive) into the manual eject hole.
