I AM HIGHLY IMPRESSED BY THE EASE OF USE OF THIS DOWNLOAD SERVICE. INSTRUCTIONS ARE CLEAR AND SIMPLE TO FOLLOW....EVEN BY TECHNOPHOBES SUCH AS MYSELF. THE EMAILS POINT YOU IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION...ITS SO EASY PEASY. THE DOWNLOAD CHOICE OF USER MANUALS IS EXTENSIVE AND I COULD NOT FIND A CHEAPER OR MORE EFFICIENT SERVICE ON THE INTERNET. I COULD NOT HAVE MADE A BETTER CHOICE OF INFORMATION PROVIDER. SHOULD I EVER NEED ANOTHER USER MANUAL, THEN THIS IS THE FIRST CHOICE SITE. Terms
Aspect ratio
The aspect ratio is the ratio of the width to the height of the TV screen. The aspect ratio of a standard TV is 4:3, while that of high-definition and wide screen TVs is 16:9. The latter lets you enjoy a picture with a wider perspective.
Dynamic range
The dynamic range refers to the difference between the maximum level at which signals can be transmitted and converted without distortion and the minimum level limited by the equipment�s performance. The dynamic range is expressed in units of decibels (dB).
Chapter numbers
Titles on discs are divided into several sections called chapters - like the chapters in a book. When chapter numbers are recorded on the disc, the chapter search function can be used to find the desired section of the title immediately.
MPEG
MPEG is short for Moving Picture Experts Group and is an international standard for compression of moving pictures. Some DVDs use MPEG compression to compress the digital audio signals.
Dolby Digital
Dolby Digital offers multi-channel sound with a maximum of 5.1 independent audio channels. The system used on this player is the same as the Dolby Digital surround system used in movie theaters.
Multi-angle
When you watch TV programs, you are watching the image filmed through a TV camera, so the picture is displayed on your TV from the viewpoint of the TV camera�s position. In a TV studio, the image is filmed by many cameras at the same time and the program director selects one of those images for the program to be broadcast over the air to the TV in your home. If the pictures from all the cameras were broadcast simultaneously and you could choose the viewpoint (camera), you could see what you want. Some DVDs include the images filmed by all the different cameras, and these can be selected using this player.
