INSTRUCTIONS - GENERAL OPERATION

Press and hold the PWR Button for more than two seconds. The unit turns oft and the turn-on volume level is memonzed. When the unit is fumed on. the volume will be at the memorized level, eve� i! the unit was fumed of1 while the volume was at a higher level. However, If the volume 8s fumed off when the volume level is lower than the stored Tum0� volume level. the volume will be at the lower level when the unit is turned back on. Setfing the Clock Turn the unit 0�. Press the AU0 Button for low seconds until the clock starts blinking. (The display wll change alfer two seconds. Ignore this and continue to hold for two more seconds.) Once the clock stalls blinking. Press the A Button to set the hour, and press the V Button to set the minutes. (To change the minute indicator to the nearest hour (:OO). you can press the BND Burton.) Press the AUD Button again to activate the clock. Changing the Information Displayed * To change the dlspfsy priority in the radio mode from cloCk to luncfion 01 function to clock, press the AUD Button lor two seconds. The display priority changes. l To change the display temporarily in the radio mode from CloCk to function or function to clock, press and release the AUD Button: After five seconds, the display changes back to the priorafy Information. Bass and Treble Press and release as many times as needed AUD Buffon to select the Bass mode, once more to reach the Treble mode. The level is indlcafed I� the Display Window. RADIO OPERATION

Four seconds after you complete your adjustments, the Tuning Controls (A V) Buttons revert to Seek Tuning. Travelstore This feature allows you to automatically store 6 receivable FM and 6 receivable AM SfafKms. which IS espeaally handy when you travel lo a different reception area. Select the dewed band. The� press BND Button again for 2 seconds. Beginning wifh fhe last station recetved the unit automatically scans the band for the six stations with strong signals. Once completed. the unit returns to the previously-tuned trequency. Selecting Preset Stations Choose the desired band using the BND Button. Press the preset buffo� that has the desired station. Manually Storing Individual Presets 1. Tune in the desired station using seek 01 manual tuning. 2. Press the preset button on which you want to store the station for 2 seconds. To confl[m that the station is stored, the audio mutes femporanly. the frequency blinks in the display. and the preset number appears briefly.

CASSETTE PLAYER OPERATION
Casseffe Tape Play: . Insert casseffe lnfo Cassette Door. Note: Make sure that the side of the casseffe with the tape exposed is lacing to the right side and that all slack has bee� removed from the tape prior to insertion. * The insertion of the casseffe will automatically override the radio, and the cassette will begin to play. When the casseffe deck is being used, the display will indicafe which direction the tape is going. . The tape wll continue to play until ejected after which the radio will play. Autoreverse Tape Function . Automatic: When the end 01 the tape (side A or B, program 1 or 2) is reached, the tape will automatically reverse direction and play the other side of the tape. * Manual: To reverse tape direction dung playback, press the PROG (Program) Buttons. The change in direcfiw and I� tape program will be conlwmed in the Display. Fast Winding of Tape No matter which side 01 the tape that is playing: * To fast-forward the tape. press the FF Button. The direction arrow wll blink to conlirm the fast-forwarding. . To fast-rewnd the fape, press the FR Buffo�. The direcflon arrow stays on and the oppos~fe arrow blinks to conilrm the last-rewnding. Ejecting The Tape Press the Cassette Eject Button to ejecf the tape. The radio will play.

AfJD Baton Summary * Pressing and releasing the AUD Button accesses these modes in this succession: * Temporary Display Change(s). Bass, Treble, Balance, Fader, Volume. * Pressmg the AUD Button for two Seconds changes the display priority between clock and funchon. * Pressmg the AUD Button for tour seconds accesses the time adjustment mode. * While I� any AUD mode, it no button is pressed for five seconds, the unit returns to the volume adjustment mode and priorlfy display.
