Having bought a pre-owned Sony FM stereo tuner through eBay, it came without any manuals. It soon became clear that to get the best from this excellent tuner I needed a decent manual because much of the operation was not intuitive to a newboy to hi fi like me. I managed to download the official Sony multi-lingual manual from Owner-Manuals.com with no problem at all - a really quick and easy service. I'm very glad I did because I found out all the operations of the tuner and was then able to not only set it up quickly but also to get much more from it that poke-and-hope trialling would ever achieve. In my book $4.99 very well spent.

Speicherschutzfunktion
Um versehentliches Löschen oder �berschreiben gespeicherter Daten zu vermeiden, kann eine Schutzfunktion für die folgenden Speichernummern eingerichtet werden. Bei aktivierter Schutzfunktion werden Speicheroperationen für Einstelldaten vom System nicht angenommen. Hinweis:
� Das Aktivieren/Deaktivieren der Schutzfunktion erfolgt für beide Speicher gleichzeitig. Wenn beispielsweise die Schutzfunktion für Speicher B1 aktiviert wird, wird sie auch für die Grundspeicher B1 und B2 aktiviert. Wird die Schutzfunktion für M1 aktiviert, wird sie für beide Benutzerspeicher M1 und M2 aktiviert. Die Schutzfunktion ist jedoch nicht für M3 und LM wirksam.

1. Rufen Sie den Speicher ab (siehe Seite 46).
Geben Sie die Speichernummer direkt an, um den Speicher abzurufen.
2. Halten Sie die Taste RETURN zwei Sekunden lang gedrückt, um die Schutzfunktion zu aktivieren.
Halten Sie die Taste erneut zwei Sekunden lang gedrückt, um die Schutzfunktion aufzuheben. Beim Aktivieren/Deaktivieren der Schutzfunktion
� Durch Aktivieren/Deaktivieren der Schutzfunktion wird keine besondere Anzeige aufgerufen. � Wird bei aktivierter Schutzfunktion der Versuch unternommen, neue Daten im geschützten Speicher abzulegen, erscheint � �, um darauf hinzuweisen, dass eine Datenspeicherung nicht möglich ist.
