Thanks so much for the Owner's manual for my Sony PS - FL1. I had purchased the turntable off of eBay. It came in and looked great. Packed well and appeared to be great. I balanced and aligned the tone are and hooked it up. When trying to play a record the tone are would move to the right place and just before it would drop to play it moved back off the edge of the record before touching down. I searched the net for an answer to this issue. No luck. Then I purchased the owners manual and sure enough there was a place to adjust where the stylus touched down. That adjustment solved the problem and saved me a $35 feet to have the player checked out. The manual is well written and easy to understand. It is a must have for anyone with this front loading Sony turntable.

Some years back I pruchased a Sansui G-9000. I had it cleaned up and a problem with the left channel repaired. When I got it back I hooked it up to my tape decks, turn tables, TV and it played great. The only thing I was not really satisfied with was the performance of my Graphic Equalizer. I purchased this owner's manual had poured myself a cup of coffee. The manual is well organized and written in plain language. It also contained the solution to my dissatisfaction. By using the preamp connections coupled I was able to run everything through my graphic equalizer and now enjoy the full potential of my complete system.

An excellent service for the price, however, it would also have been handy if the troubleshooter pages were included. The manual is only sent in the language of your country, thus it looks as though there are some pages missing. Otherwise highly recommended.

Aktivieren der Surround-Modi
In Abhängigkeit vom eingehenden Signal sind unterschiedliche Surround-Modi verfügbar. Wenn einer der Surround-Modi für eine Signalquelle aktiviert wird, werden die gespeicherten Einstellungen und Veränderungen automatisch abgerufen (siehe Seiten 19 bis 25).
� Für DTS-Multikanal-Software (mit Ausnahme von Zweikanal- und Dual Mono-Software) werden eingehende Signale automatisch erkannt und �DTS SURROUND� wird aktiviert.
Auto-Surround-Funktion
Dieser Receiver bietet eine Auto-Surround-Funktion für die Wiedergabe im Surround-Modus. Wählen Sie einfach die Signalquelle aus (diese Signalquelle muss an einen digitalen Eingang angeschlossen sein). Die Wiedergabe im Auto-Surround-Modus ist in folgenden Fällen möglich... � Wenn eine Mehrkanal-Signalquelle erkannt wird, wird der angemessene Surround-Modus aktiviert. � Wenn ein Dolby Digital 2-Kanal mit Surround-Signalen erkannt wird, wird �PLII MOVIE� ausgewählt. � Wenn ein Dolby Digital 2-Kanal ohne Surround-Signale oder lineare PCM-Signale erkannt wird, wird �SURROUND OFF� ausgewählt.
Hinweis:
Wenn das Dolby Digital- oder DTS-Mehrkanalsignal nicht mehr empfangen wird, wird �PLII MOVIE� aktiviert.
� Für analoge Signalquellen und digitale 2-kanalige Software, können Sie eine der folgenden Surround-Modi auswählen. Mit jedem Druck auf die Taste SURROUND, ändern sich die Surround-Modi wie folgt:

* Abhängig vom Eingangssignal, verändert der Receiver automatisch den Surround-Modus zu �PLII MOVIE� oder �SURROUND OFF�. � Für Dual Mono software, sie können den Kanal wählen, den Sie hören möchten. (Siehe Seite 22.)
Manuelles Aktivieren der Surround-Modi
DUAL MONO
Sehen Sie die Seite 25, um den Lautsprecher-Ausgangsmodus, den Mittelton sowie den Sound-Effekt von Dolby Pro Logic II Music einzustellen.
1 Wählen Sie eine Quelle und schalten Sie auf Wiedergabe.
� Achten Sie darauf, dass Sie den analogen oder digitalen Eingangsmodus richtig ausgewählt haben.
Die Surround-Modus aufheben
Drücken Sie die Taste SURROUND/DSP OFF.
2 Drücken Sie die Taste SURROUND, um den Surround-Modus zu aktivieren.
� Wenn als Surround-Modus �DOLBY DIGITAL,� �DTS SURROUND,� oder �DUAL MONO� ausgewählt wurde, drücken Sie SURROUND, um die Displayanzeige alternativ zwischen �AUTO SURROUND� und den einzelnen SurroundModi zu wechseln. (Der Surround-Effekt bleibt unverändert.) � Für Dolby Digital-Multikanal-Software (mit Ausnahme von Zweikanal- und Dual Mono-Software) werden eingehende Signale automatisch erkannt und �DOLBY DIGITAL� wird aktiviert. Bei der Wiedergabe von Dolby Digital Surround EX- oder DTS-ES-Software Sie können über Virtual Surround Playback die Wiedergabe des Virtual 6,1-Kanal genie�en. Um die Funktion Virtual Surround Back zu aktivieren, siehe Seite 23.
