you are doing great job guys.....my father ask me to find out the schematics of Sony KV25R1D to sort out the problem ..(he was electrical technician, and excperianced with TV and simillar stuff). finally he found the cause and change all necessary parts....now he has got working old dog..and is very happy!!... thank you all.. Demagnetization and cleaning

Power OFF, demagnetization, cleaning play
REC/PB head, erase head. capstan, pinch roller
Demagnetize the REC/PB head by head eraser. Clean the REC/PB head, erase head capstan and pinch roller with a cotton swab immersed in alcohol. In a setting wher the output is maximized, adjust the azimuth adjustment screw so that the Lissajous figure appearing on the oscilloscope screen comes near to a line slanted45° Note : The head should be installed in such a manner that it approaches the tape face.
