Pioneer CDXP23S is an old model and has been top useful for me to find this Manual. CD Player is still repaired.

Service Manual: a rather complete OEM service manual (15.5MB pdf file size). Scan quality was very good, accept for a few circuit board diagrams that were dark; Zooming, however, clarified the image. Has the required information for servicing the LD Player.

19.1.4.2. Tips
1. Apply the tangential adjustment first and then the tilt adjustment. 2. Repeat the adjustment a couple of times to find the optimum point. 3. Complete with the tilt adjustment.
19.1.4.3. Check After Adjustment Replay test discs or other commercial discs in order to confirm that no picture deterioration or sound skipping is detected in the inner, middle, and outer tracks. After this, fasten each adjustment screw securely using a screw lock. 19.1.4.4. Procedure for Screw Lock
