Thank you for providing this manual and at low cost.
The Philips scope is of excellent quality, longevity and build and had a couple of faults
when it was passed to me. Having the CCT diagrams is a blessing.
I have fixed the problems and also modded the scope to my requirements.
I have built a 24v Li-Ion pack for portable use from old but good laptop batts.
it is working beautifully and I am well pleased. Keep up the good work Guys.

Awesome quality manual. You really saved my bacon with this one. Was looking for some specific information with regards to my "new" vintage VCR that didn't come with the owners manual. This site is truely a goldmine of available manuals. The quality of the scans are top notch.
Thank-you so much for this awesome manual. If you're looking for this Sony SL-HF400 owners manual, this is the one you NEED to buy. Definitely worth the money.

The manual was made available promptly. I is a clean scan of the original. I had no problem downloading it. The scan was well centered and cleanly formatted. It is as good a product as can be had without being the original document.

Received downlink in less then 8 hours, Item was in good copy condition, and told me how to program the clock timer. The price was very resonable, and the process was very automated and was GREAT to work with.
Glossary
Chapter
This is the smallest division on DVD and is roughly equivalent to a track.
Video
Frame Title
This is the largest division on DVD. Frames are the still pictures that go together to make a moving picture. There are about thirty frames shown each second.
Track
This is the smallest division on Video CD and Audio CD, and usually equates to a single song.
Field
One frame is made up of two fields. A regular television shows these fields one after the other to create frames.
PBC (Playback control)
This method of controlling disc play is included on version 2.0 Video CDs. You are able to interact with the disc through menus.
Frame still and field still
A still is shown when you pause a moving picture. A frame still is made up of two alternating fields, so the picture may appear blurred, but overall quality is high. A field still is not blurred, but it has only half the information of a frame still so picture quality is lower.
Digital audio I/P/B Bitstream
This is the digital form of multiple channel audio data (e.g. 5.1 channel) before it is decoded into its various channels. MPEG 2, the video compression standard adapted for use with DVD, codes frames using these three picture types. I: Intra coded picture (I-picture) This is the standard picture and is a complete picture in itself. This means it has the best picture quality and is the best to use when adjusting the picture. P: Predictive coded picture (P-picture) This picture is calculated based on past I and P-pictures. B: Bidirectionally-predictive coded picture (B-picture) This picture is calculated by comparing past and future I and Ppictures so it has the lowest volume of information.

Decoder
A decoder restores the coded audio signals on DVDs to normal. This is called decoding.
PCM (Pulse code modulation), Linear PCM
PCM is the usual digital method used for Audio CDs. DVDs have a greater volume so they use linear PCM, which has a higher sampling rate.
Sampling rate
This is the number of samples of sound taken per second during conversion to a digital signal. Sampling frequency is expressed in kilohertz (kHz). A high sampling frequency results in a sound close to the original when played back.
MP3
A method of compressing audio, MPEG Audio Layer 3 (MP3) allows audio to be reduced up to one tenth its original size without overtly hurting audio quality. When creating MP3 files to play on this unit Disc formats: ISO9660 level 1 and level 2 (except for extended formats) Files: MP3 files with the suffix .mp3 or .MP3 This unit is not compatible with files with a sampling rate of 32 kHz. This unit is compatible with multi-session but if there are a lot of sessions it takes more time for play to start. Keep the number of sessions to a minimum to avoid this. To have this unit play files in a cer- root Example: tain order, prefix folder and file names with numbers in the order you 001 want to play them.
