This manual should be used in conjuction with the Level 1 ver.5.0 (and Level 2 appendix ver.3.0) manuals published for the original PS2 (30000, 35000, 30000R, 39000 and 50000 series PS2 consoles). Please refer to these manuals for Safety Related Component Warning, General Information, Warranty and Spare Parts Reorder Information.

K CHASSIS Identification of manufacturer
The manufacturer of the console can be identified before the console is opened. Please refer to the identifying letter at the start of the Serial Number shown on the Serial Number Label mounted on the bottom of the console:
A = ASUS
F = FOXCONN
SCEE SCPH 70000 series
