e. When a staple jam occurs: Open the top cover, raise the stapler handle up and pull out the stapler. If the stapler is difficult to remove because of misfed paper, insert tool A in the maintenance pouch into the wheel of the stapler, then turn in either direction to ease stapler removal.
Raise the retaining lever and remove the staple caflridge from the stapler. Using tool B in the maintenance pouch, remove the retaining clip at the stapling position, remove the block at the tip, then remove the jammed staple.
/ Block Replace the block and the retaining clip to their original positions. Place the staple cartridge back into position. Lower the retaining lever to secure the staple mrtridge. Align the stapler with the groove and position it ifl PlaCe. Lower the st~ler handle back down as shown, Close the top cover. f. Make sure the copies are stapled.

@ IPlace a set of copies on the top bin and make sure of the
(:orrect staple position. Press the manu~ staple key.
@ IRemove the copies from the top bin and check to be sure the
jtapler works properly. INote: If they are not stapled, repeat this procedure.
