Tässä luvussa kuvataan käyttöoppaassa kuvatut verkkotermit. Verkko toimii tietoliikennevälineenä kahden tai usean tietokoneen (ja muiden laitteiden) välillä, jotka on kytketty toisiinsa kaapelilla tai langattomasti.
KAAPELIKYTKENT�
Kussakin tietokoneessa tarvitaan verkkosovitin tai langaton verkkokortti, jotta niihin voitaisiin kytkeä verkkokaapeli. Esimerkkejä:
