I purchased the unit from a private party and the original owners manual was not available. Having the ability to download it was extremely helpful and clarified operating the equipment immensely. Insert the Nero Disc and browse to the directory �Philips Drivers� Double click �win98SE.exe� Click next Accept the terms of license agreement Click next Click �nish Connect USB and power cable of your external harddisk to the computer The drivers will be automatically installed Browse to the directory �Aspi� in the �Philips Drivers� directory Double click �aspiinst.exe� Click install Click exit Continue the Nero installation Click on Nero BackItUp, other packages can be installed if preferred After installing the software, you should reboot your computer
If you want to use �rewire you need to update your Windows 98 Second Edition.
