Receiving calls
1 When you hear the phone ring,
� Press (LINE 1) or (LINE 2) whichever button is flashing. or � Pick up the handset from the base phone when the handset is placed on the base phone. The corresponding line button lights up, so you can know which line is used.

2 When you are done talking,
press (OFF) or replace the handset on the base phone. The corresponding line button goes off. When calls come in on line 1 and line 2 at the same time The phone rings with the line which comes in first. When you pick up the handset from the base phone, the line which comes in first will be connected. Additional tasks
To Put a call on hold. Do this Press (HOLD). The LINE 1 or LINE 2 button will flash slowly. Press (LINE 1) or (LINE 2) to resume the conversation. Slide the VOL switch. Press (FLASH). Press (FLASH) again to return to the first caller. See �Setting the ringer type� on page 26.
Adjust the handset volume Switch to another call (�call waiting� service*) Turn on/off the ringer of the handset
