Having bought a pre-owned Sony FM stereo tuner through eBay, it came without any manuals. It soon became clear that to get the best from this excellent tuner I needed a decent manual because much of the operation was not intuitive to a newboy to hi fi like me. I managed to download the official Sony multi-lingual manual from Owner-Manuals.com with no problem at all - a really quick and easy service. I'm very glad I did because I found out all the operations of the tuner and was then able to not only set it up quickly but also to get much more from it that poke-and-hope trialling would ever achieve. In my book $4.99 very well spent.

Si le téléviseur réagit à toutes les touches, la SRU 5040 est prête. Si le téléviseur ne réagit absolument pas ou pas à toutes les commandes, reportez-vous aux instructions de la section � Réglage de la télécommande �, ou effectuez une configuration en ligne sur : www.philips.com/urc.

Réglage de la télécommande
Cette opération n�est nécessaire que si la SRU 5040 ne fonctionne pas ou seulement partiellement avec votre appareil. La raison peut être que la SRU 5040 ne reconnaît pas la marque ni/ou le modèle ; dans ce cas, vous devez la configurer en conséquence. L�exemple suivant (TV) montre comment procéder.Vous pouvez répéter les mêmes étapes pour d�autres appareils (lecteurs/enregistreurs de DVD, magnétoscopes, etc.) que vous souhaitez commander à l�aide de la SRU 5040. Réglage automatique de la télécommande La télécommande va maintenant rechercher automatiquement le code de votre appareil. Exemple - téléviseur: 1 Allumez le téléviseur et sélectionnez un canal (par exemple, le canal 1) à l�aide de la télécommande d�origine. � Insérez un disque ou une bande dans le lecteur ou le magnétoscope et lancez la lecture. 2 Appuyez sur la touche SELECT pour sélectionner le téléviseur. Tenez la touche enfoncée jusqu�à ce que TV s�allume dans la fenêtre du sélecteur. Français 5

Ensuite, tenez les touches 1 et 3 enfoncées simultanément pendant cinq secondes, jusqu�à ce que la touche TV clignote deux fois dans la fenêtre du sélecteur, avant de rester allumée.

Tenez enfoncée la touche de veille de la SRU 5040.

La SRU 5040 transmet alors successivement tous les signaux de sortie TV connus. Chaque fois qu�un code est envoyé,TV s�allume dans la fenêtre du sélecteur.
