The only reason I gave this less than 4 stars, is because it shouldn't take 24 hrs to have the download available. I was surprised to find that I had to wait until the next day to be able to download the manual that I paid for.

Instructions for use 5. Replacing the batteries
When the battery status indicator ( ) on the display starts blinking, battery power is low and you should replace the batteries. All user settings will be retained when the old batteries are removed.

Press the cover inward, slide it in the direction of the arrow and remove the cover. Insert 3 AAA/R03 batteries noting the + and configuration inside the battery compartment. Place the cover back and click it firmly into place.

Point the remote control at the device and make sure that there are no obstructions between the remote control and the device. Make sure the function you wish to operate is available on the device.
