Thank you for having the manual I needed for an older model Aiwa stero I had found on Ebay --- I wanted the Aiwa because I had tapes and cd's but I did not have a manual as to how to operate the system... I found what I needed and it has enabled me to set the system up for my enjoyment.

Adjusting the equalizer parameter
The EQ menu contains parameters that let you adjust the equalizer of the front speakers for optimum sound. The settings are applied to all sound fields.
Bass (BASS XXX.X dB)
Lets you adjust the gain of bass.
Treble (TREB. XXX.X dB)
Lets you adjust the gain of treble.
Resetting customized sound fields to the factory settings
1 Start playing a program source
encoded with multi channel surround sound.
1 If the power is on, press ?/1 to turn off
the power.
2 Press MAIN MENU repeatedly to select
� EQ �.
2 Hold down 2CH and press ?/1.
�SF. CLR.� appears in the display and all sound fields are reset at once.

4 Turn the jog dial to select the setting
you want.
The setting is entered automatically.

To turn on/off the equalizer
1 Press MAIN MENU repeatedly to select
� EQ �. repeatedly to select
2 Press
or �EQ XXX�.
3 Turn the jog dial to select �EQ ON� or
�EQ OFF�.
Note
The EQ indicator in the display lights up when the equalizer is turned on. When you adjust the equalizer using the EQ parameters, the settings are applied to all sound fields and can be reproduced whenever you turn on the equalizer.
