Having bought a pre-owned Sony FM stereo tuner through eBay, it came without any manuals. It soon became clear that to get the best from this excellent tuner I needed a decent manual because much of the operation was not intuitive to a newboy to hi fi like me. I managed to download the official Sony multi-lingual manual from Owner-Manuals.com with no problem at all - a really quick and easy service. I'm very glad I did because I found out all the operations of the tuner and was then able to not only set it up quickly but also to get much more from it that poke-and-hope trialling would ever achieve. In my book $4.99 very well spent.
Tuning menu Auto setup
Auto setup automatically retunes your TV. This feature is useful if, for example, you move house and wish to retune your TV to recevie the local stations.
SET UP

WARNING
All current tuning data will be erased
Note: � If you proceed with the next step all tuning data will be erased (all stations and their programme positions stored in your TV�s memory will be wiped out so the new settings can be stored). � If an auto setup process is aborted midway, all channels that have been set up to that point will be saved to memory.

If a compatible VCR is connected via the AV2 socket,programme data will be sent to the VCR via Q-Link (see page 30). Once this operation is completed the TV will display the programme now stored on programme position 1.
