Maintenance
Cleaning the Document Scanning Area
If the receiving party reports that the received documents were black or contained black lines, try to make a copy on your apparatus to verify. If the copy is black or has black lines, the document scanning area is probably dirty and must be cleaned.
To clean the scanning area

2. Press the tabs on each side of the Feed Roller 1. Open the Panel Cover until it is secured. inwards and lift it up.

3. Open the white plastic protector and hold it. 4. Wipe the Scanning Area gently with a soft cloth. Be sure to use a clean cloth as the Scanning Area is easily scratched.

5. Press the tabs on each side of the Feed Roller and hold it down until it is secured. 6. Close the Panel Cover.
