I have never bought a service manual which is as competely readable as this althogh it was a scanned pdf. Thank you for this succesful manual also cheaper than other sites.

5-2. Precautions for Handling the Drive
In performing a repair, observe the following precautions.
1 Do not turn the power switch on until the palmrest and the keyboard are installed completely. 1
2 If the power switch is to be turned on with the set in disassembled state, be sure to load a dummy disc in the drive. 2

3 If the power switch is to be turned on with the set in disassembled state for checking the drive condition, be sure to turn the power switch on with the tray drawn out. 3
