How to Remove Cassette When Mechanism Malfunctions
If a cassette is caught in the mechanism because of some trouble in mechanism, use the following procedure to remove it:
Operational procedure
1) Remove the top cover and front panel. (Refer to "CHAPTER 2 DISASSEMBLY")
If tape winds around the cylinder in loading status:
If tape is not ejected in unloading status:
Remove the spring, lift the pressure roller and pull it out.

Slacken the tape and release it from the tension pole, guide rollers, slant poles and P. out arm.

1) Remove the two screws holding the UT-FL mechanism. 2) Hold the cassette lid with your fingers so that the tape is not damaged, and then remove the UT-FL mechanism. 3) Remove slack tape, and eject the cassette.
UT-FL mechanism
Remove 2 screws and lift the UT-FL mechanism in the direction of the arrow.
