Good copy and great customer service! There was some confusion with my order and it was resolved promptly!

Having bought a pre-owned Sony FM stereo tuner through eBay, it came without any manuals. It soon became clear that to get the best from this excellent tuner I needed a decent manual because much of the operation was not intuitive to a newboy to hi fi like me. I managed to download the official Sony multi-lingual manual from Owner-Manuals.com with no problem at all - a really quick and easy service. I'm very glad I did because I found out all the operations of the tuner and was then able to not only set it up quickly but also to get much more from it that poke-and-hope trialling would ever achieve. In my book $4.99 very well spent.

This manual is immaculate in it's accuracy. Everything is written very clearly and easy to understand. Written by a professional who wants to convey a clear and easy to understand message!!
Quick Start Guide
5 Playing a DVD with Surround Sound
1 Turn on your TV, and your DVD player. 2 Press the DVD button on the remote control.
You should see "DVD/LD" in the display on the receiver.
3 Press the STANDARD button for the basic surround sound setting. 4 Play a DVD.
6 For Better Surround Sound
1 Go through the entire "Initial Set Up" procedures as outlined on pages 27-38 of this instruction manual.
If you don't hook up any other components with digital audio or do so following the default settings of the receiver (see page 15) you won't have to assign any more digital inputs, but many other adjustments will improve the sound tremendously.
2 Experiment with the different sound settings offered with the 2/DTS and DSP buttons.
For more information see pages 39-42.
3 As mentioned above you should go through the "Speaker Setting" instructions on pages 31-32 to set up your speakers properly. If you don't do this you, at least, need to make sure the CENTER channel is turned off if you don't have a center speaker. Use the instructions on pages 31-32.
