This manual covers the main equipment features only. While it also includes the procedure for saving and loading from the now long obsolete memory cards it does not mention the how to operate with the optional floppy drive interface so I am still at a loss about how to use this! Note that there is a separate manual covering the MIDI interface and programming via the keyboard, not included in this download. You will also need to get hold of this if you want to use the MIDI interface properly. Basically there is little difference between this manual and the free to download manual for the similar PR60 model.

Good list of manuals. I found a very rare one and easily get. Should be promptly to download, as we must to wait hours even after confirmed payment.

The manual was properly scanned and perfectly readable. The only small problem is that I couldn't use my dear Ctrl + F to find a word I needed.

Nothing wrong with the manual or the delivery - came to me the same day I ordered it. But afterwards I realized that I ordered the wrong manual. Probably better with the Quick start - version. So maybe it would be better if we could see a list with inhold for each manual before ordering?

Bought T4850 High End Tuner a few years ago, but i didn't know where all the buttons were used for. So i purchased the owners manual. Perfect! Just what i needed.
Basic Playback
Sound Modes
The four sound modes on the receiver are explained here. These can be turned on from the front panel or from the remote control. There are two cinema modes: STANDARD, and ADVANCED THEATER. These are designed to be used with multi channel surround sound audio/visual sources (like DVDs and LDs). Intrinsic to home theater, these modes can deliver realistic and powerful surround sound that recreates the movie theater experience. You may need to experiment with them to see which settings suit your home system and personal tastes. The DSP and STEREO modes are designed to be used with music sources but some DSP modes are also suited for film soundtracks. Again, try different settings with various soundtracks to see which you like. You must choose one of the three cinema modes or the DSP mode in order to get surround sound. In STEREO mode only the front two speakers, and sometimes the subwoofer (if you have one), are used.
STANDARD modes
STANDARD mode decodes Dolby Digital, DTS and Dolby Pro Logic sources (see page 83 for more detailed information), and plays them without any further processing. You can think of this as the basic surround sound mode of the receiver. Using STANDARD 7.1 you can enjoy surround sound from additional surround back speaker(s). You will only be able to access STANDARD 7.1 if you have hooked up SURROUND BACK speaker(s). For more detailed information see p.19, 32-33.
STANDARD
This mode decodes Dolby Digital, DTS or Dolby Pro Logic sources with no additional effects. If you don't have SURROUND BACK speaker(s) switched on (see p.32-33) this is the only STANDARD mode you will be able to select on the receiver.
STANDARD 7.1
STANDARD 7.1 is a Pioneer technology that generates realistic 7 channel surround sound without destroying the original sound staging. You will only be able to access this mode if you have set the SURROUND BACK speakers in the SPEAKER SETUP procedure (see p.32-33). Also, this mode will play 5.1 channels sources and other sources through all the speakers you have hooked up, routing some of the sound into your SURROUND BACK channel or channels. STANDARD 7.1 will appear in the display even if you only have one SURROUND BACK speaker hooked up.
