This manual is accurate and of high quality. It is only volume 2 of the service manual. This is schematic, parts lists, and exploded mechanical drawings. The theory of operation and the diss-assembly instructions are in volume 1. The unit can be tricky to dis-assemble portions of so the volume 1 manual can be important. The product description of the manual is accurate but it does not say anything about volume 1 and the image of the front page does clearly say Volume 2.

ADJUSTMENT
Item 3. Mechanism Adjustment Adjustment Method, Adjustment Value First, reset by pressing both FNC and MODE keys at the same time and boot up the system in Test Mode. Display Setup screen with the FUN key, and press ADJ key for making adjustment. Note 1: If adjustment becomes impossible as a result of having input incorrect values, clear the E2PROM first and then conduct the adjustment. This can be done by resetting while pressing FNC and VOL- keys. When this is done, the machine also loses the mechanical positions. Therefore, this must also be adjusted again. 4. Confirming on the starting points of screen display In MONO Scope screen, confirm that the right and left positions are uniform. If they are off a little, use VR200 (HYOUJI) to adjust the right and left to be uniform. (Adjust to less than one dot difference.) If the difference is much too large, adjust from the beginning of X35 again.

Item 1. Image Detection Coil Adjustment L29 Adjustment Method, Adjustment Value 1. Turn VR3 (RF-AGC) all the way to clockwise direction beforehand. 2. Impress DC of approximately 2.0V on TP (AF AGC) (IC22 36-pin) 3. Input to TP (IF) (CF3 1-pin) the following: fo=58.75MHz, Mod=1kHz, AM60%, and Level=100dBµ . 4. Observe the waveform of TP (VIDEO) (IC22 8-pin) with an oscilloscope and adjust L29 so that the output level will be the maximum.
