This manual is for the usa model only. But it is clear , accurate and comprehensive, including board layouts and schematics. I found it extremely useful for my mitsubishi dp-86da, but the same diagram would also work for the realistic lab5000 and hi fi 80. Thanks.

A-103 TEAC Service Manual by Mike Dunn;

For five bucks you can barely buy a hamburger. Or for the same five bucks you can buy a service manual. Much more useful. (and better for your health, depending on where you buy your hamburgers). Yes, there are free manual sites out there, but if they don't have what you want, you have to pay. And five bucks isn't much. Not for full specs, schematics and adjustment and parts replacement procedures. My only criticism is that grayscale illustrations aren't well rendered, but I've seen worse. CJV55 PIONEER Service Manual by Joseph Dulick Jr;

Impressively thorough. Even the simple operators manual helped me "fix" one of the 2 CD players in the unit. This unit reads CD's from the top so they should be installed in the magazines "upside down" from typical CD players. The CD player service manual helped me unjam a stuck carriage because somebody transported the box laying down loaded with CD's. A little lens cleaning & the player now works well! Thanks for you help at a great price! Joe

Is output obtained at the pins 2 and 5 of CNS802 No Yes Check the periphery of IC802. Check the PWB pattern between pin 20 (TEOUT) of IC802 and pins 33 and 37 of IC801. Is it normal ? Yes

Optical pickup failure.

IC801 is faulty. No

TE TRCRS

Check the PWB pattern between pin 33 (TE) of IC801 and pin 19 of IC804. Check the periphery of IC804 and CNW801/CNS801. If OK. Optical pickup failure. Is output (HF signal) obtained at the pin 44 (ARF) of IC801 when the CD TEST MODE "STEP 4" is changed to "STEP 5"? Yes
test mode "step 4" ARF test mode "step 5"

No

Is output obtained at the pins 1 and 3, 4 of CNS802. No Yes

Optical pickup failure.

Check the periphery of IC801. Check the PWB pattern pin 44 (ARF) of IC801. If OK. IC802 is faulty

Is output (HF signal) obtained at the pin 38 (/RFDET) of IC801 when the CD TEST MODE "STEP 4" is changed to "STEP 5"? Yes
test mode "step 4" test mode "step 5"

No

Check the periphery of IC801. Check the PWB pattern pin38 (/RFDET) of IC801. If OK. IC802 is faulty.

Is the following wave output to the pin 10 (VIN2) of IC804 when the CD TEST MODE "STEP 4" or "STEP 5"? Yes
VO2 test mode "step 4" test mode "step 5"

No

Check the periphery pins 52~53 of IC801. If OK. IC801 failure.

Normal.

â�¢ No sound.
No sound from both L and R-ch? No Yes No Is signal of pins 73 and 75 of IC801 output? Yes Check the peripheral parts of IC801. If OK, IC801 is faulty. Check the interval between the pins 73 or 75 of IC801 and the pins 1 or 3 IC601.

The main PWB is faulty.
