The service manual is really great - thanks to it I was able to install the laser unit and thus "save" my CD-player, which seemed to be impossible before I had the manual.

This site is working fine! Did buy a manual for SX-EX25L and after a while I could download it and fix the problem. Nice and easy!
3) This picture indicates the status of the unit with the PWB, MAIN ASSY and CABI, FRONT ASSY removed.
5. Removing the CD-R/RW drive unit (CRD-RA1W02(A)). 1) Remove the four screws and remove the HLDR, PWB CD.
2) Remove the three screws and remove the PLATE, SHILD TOP.
3) Rotate the gear (1) in the direction of the arrow and open the tray (2). Remove the four screws (3) and remove the CD-R/RW drive unit.
