I PURHASED THIS PRODUCT BECAUSE I WAS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY CDR20 HARMAN KARDON RECORDER. WHICH I PURCHASED NEW 12 YEARS AGO. AFTER REVIEWING THE MANUAL, I WAS ABLE TO ADJUST THE TENSIONER IN THE SYSTEM. WORKS LIKE A CHAMP!.
SAVED ME AT LEAST 100.00 WHICH WAS WHAT A SERVICE REPAIR STATION WANTED. GREAT MANUAL EASY TO READ. SPECIALLY AFTER I PRINTED THE PAGES WHICH DEALT WITH MY RECORDER. THANKS A LOT!!!!!!!!

Do the CD head sled to the inner ?
NO

Please check 3P, 4P of CN4 and 9P, 11P of IC3.
Open the CD tray by pressing "CD1/2/3 EJECT". Place CD on the tray and close the tray by selecting the corresponding "CD1/2/3 EJECT" key to close the CD tray.
Do the laser radiate normally ?
NO
YES
Please check PICK UP and Q1, L1, D1, R34. NO
After the CD TOC is read, are the number of the total tracks and playing time displayed correctly ?
NO
Do the lens vertical motion ? Please check the connection CN3 and 5P, 2P, 4P of IC3. NO
YES YES Do the disc start to spin ?
Please press CD PLAY/PAUSE key or CD SELECT key of DISC No.
YES
Please check the connection CN4 and 8P, 9P, 11P of IC3. NO
Do the CD playing and the CD time display correctly ?
NO
Do the head move to outward slowly ?
YES
Please tune the CD again.

Please check the connection CN3 and 5P, 2P, 4P of IC3.
Is the audio signal come out on the speaker ?

Please tune the CD servo circuit
