The service was quick and simple, finding the service manual easy and it appears to be the original with colour schematics. It contained the info I was after and so sorted the problem.

Die Lampentür mit den Schrauben vollständig schlie§en.
Ist der Bimetallschalter nicht deaktiviert? Ja
Nein
Den Bimetallschalter austauschen oder durch Drücken des roten Knopfes reaktivieren.
Liegt Netzspannung an beiden Wechselspannungsenden von D7001 an? Ja
Nein
F701 auswechseln. Bei anderen Mängeln austauschen.
Liegt an beiden Enden von C7105 eine Gleichspannung von ca. 6 V an? Ja
Nein
An der Primärseite von IC7003 und D7103 prüfen. Bei Mängeln austauschen.
Liegt an der Kathode von D7004 eine Spannung von ca. 360 V an? Ja
