This scanned manual is well done in that most all the pages except for one is straight and clear- the way I would do them. One page was upside down but that happens. For the money that is charged on this site you get a pretty good deal. Now with complex repairs, I still prefer to us paper manuals which I have to buy at stereomanuals but the one I got here was much less than the $45 he was charging but this is a larger than normal manual for three different units. I am a picky manual user because I have used original manuals from Sony and Teac.

Menu Setting Mode
MONITOR SET
You can set the monitor switching speed or set monitor 2 to display the monitor 1 image. Changing the monitor setting (MOITOR SET) menu MON1 SEQ. TIMER Sets the screen automatic switching speed. Automatic switching speed (seconds): 01 (default), 02, 03, 04, 05, 10, 20, 30 MON2 SEQ. TIMER Sets the screen automatic switching speed. Automatic switching speed (seconds): 01 (default), 02, 03, 04, 05, 10, 20, 30 MON2 T MON1 Y: Monitor 2 displays the monitor 1 image (4 divisions split screen, automatic switching, full screen). N (Default): Monitor 2 displays live images (automatically switched) or a full screen image.

Press the + (or �) button and change the VCR type. Press the v button. Similarly, change �REC SPEED�, �ALARM REC SPEED� and �COLOR KILLER� (YS-DX504 only).

Press the MENU button 7 times. Press v the button. The (MONITOR SET) menu appears. If the system is in the �POSITON SET� mode, press the NEXT button to return to the (DISPLAY SET) menu.
YS-DX504: The real time VCR speed is based on a T160 tape. If you set the �REC SPEED� to 006, 018 or 030, the real time VCR recording speed will be as shown in Table 1. YS-DX504P: The real time VCR speed is based on a E-240 tape. If you set the �REC SPEED� to 006, 018 or 030, the real time VCR recording speed will be as shown in Table 1. Table 1

Press the v button until the cursor moves to the �MON1 SEQ. TIMER�. Press the + (or �) button and change the �MON1 SEQ. TIMER�. Press the v button. Similarly change �MON2 SEQ. TIMER� and �MON2 T MON1�.
Press the MENU button 8 times. The (VCR SET) menu appears.
ALARM REC SPEED [Time lapse VCR] Set the recording speed if the system receives an alarm signal. Set �ALARM REC SPEED� for the connected VCR. Speed YS-DX504: 002 (default), 012, 024, NC, F2 YS-DX504P: 003 (default), 012, 024, NC, F3 NC: Records the image at REC SPEED even if the system receives an alarm signal. F2 (YS-DX504): If the VCR�s SW signal terminal is used, it will record the image at 2H speed for VCRs that do not output switch signals. F3 (YS-DX504P): If the VCR�s SW signal terminal is used, it will record the image at 3H speed for VCRs that do not output switch signals. [Real time VCR] Set the recording speed if the system receives an alarm signal. Set �ALARM REC SPEED� for the connected VCR. Speed: 006 (default), 018, NC, F6 NC: Records the image at REC SPEED even if the system receives an alarm signal. F6: If the VCR�s SW signal terminal is used, it will record the image with the 6H speed for VCRs that do not output switch signals.
