This was a very hard to find manual. The unit is long discontinued and Pioneer doesn't retain every manual for every model. Thanks owner's-manual.com!

Filling with dishwasher salt
CAUTION! Use only special salt suitable for dishwashers
Unscrew the cap.
Only before filling with salt for the first time, fill the salt container with water
Using the funnel provided, pour in the salt until the container is filled with salt.
IMPORTANT! Water will overflow from the container as salt is added. IMPORTANT! Immediately start a complete programme.
Remove any trace of salt.
Replace the cap tightly turning it clockwise until it stops with a click.
IMPORTANT! The salt container will require topping up periodically.
The salt cap has a refill indicator window in the centre in which a green float is clearly visible when there is salt inside the container and almost disappears when the salt has finished.
