After the 1st scanner is moved to the scan position (center of the exposure glass), the inverter motor and the belt motor start to feed the original again. At the same time, the sheet-through guide solenoid [A] and the original scale solenoid [B] of the copier main body are energized to move the guide [C] and scale [D] to the sheet-through position. The original is transported onto the guide and the scale ready to be fed out. When an original is placed on the sheet-through table, if the reed switch [E] of the CFF (computer form feed) guide is not actuated (the guide is not in the rear end position), a message is displayed advising the user to set the guide at the rear end position.
