I was very pleased with the manual I got for my amateur (ham) radio. Without it I could not figure out how to input and/or change the P/L setting on my radio. It drove me nuts as the radio was essentially useless. That all changed when my manual came. Then it took only minutes and I was done. Now my radio works fine. Options
¡ Red lamp unit
You can use the optional red lamp unit to skip the OCR red images. Replace the lamp unit with the optional red lamp unit as follows.
Warning:

Never change the lamp unit with the scanner plugged in. The lamp becomes very hot. Wait for about five minutes aftter turning the power off to let the lamp cool off.
1. Initialize the scanner to return the carriage to its original position. 2. Turn the power off and disconnect the power cord. 3. Open the document feeder.

1 4. Remove the lamp cover. 5. Remove the connector cover. 6. Disconnect the connector.
7. Hold the right side of the lamp and pull it up while sliding it to the left.
Caution:
Do not touch the middle of the lamp unit. Hold the green parts only.
8. To attach the red lamp unit, go backwards through the previous steps.
