Having purchased a 1994 Kenwood music system from a Charity shop in 2013 (it was a high end product in its day), I found myself not quite knowing where to plug in what, and how to do this, that and the next thing. I needed a Manual, and after failure with another online 'Manual provider' I found Owner Manuals dot com. Well, I wasn't sure, but it was only $5, and if things didn't work out, I wouldn't have lost much...
But things DID work out. After paying my childrens inheritance money, $4.99, I was sent a Manual for my Kenwood System very quickly. Alas, it was in German, and being Scottish, I could not read it or get my system in order from it...a rapid email to them brought the English Manual in short order, and my retro-system was and IS up and running in it's regulation settings.
I am very grateful to http://www.owner-manuals.com for their quick service and for even having such an obsolete Manual in the first place! If you need a Manual for ANYTHING, try here first. I wouldn't be surprised if I bought a 1928 Marconi radio, and got the user Manual for THAT here too!

Select the timer (Daily Timer or Recording Timer) with the source to play.
On the remote control: Press UP or DOWN to select the timer, then press CLOCK/TIMER. On the unit: Press ¢ or 4 to select the timer, then press TIMER/SNOOZE. � Each time you press UP (¢) or DOWN (4), the timer mode and the source change as follows:

Adjust the clock if you need.
� See �Setting the Clock� on page 10.

Press STANDBY/ON (or on the unit) to turn off the unit (standby) if you have set the timer with the unit turned on.

� When the timer turns on the unit, the (timer) indicator starts flashing. (If the Recording Timer is selected in step 4, the REC indicator also starts flashing.)

To deactivate the timer temporarily, press and hold CLOCK/TIMER (or TIMER/SNOOZE on the unit) until the (timer) indicator on the display goes off.

TUNER : tunes in to the last station you were listening to. (Daily Timer) REC TUNER : records the last station you were listening to. (Recording Timer) � Put a recordable cassette into the deck. CD : plays a disc. (Daily Timer) � Load a disc. TAPE : plays a tape. (Daily Timer) � Make sure that the tape is in the cassette deck. � Make sure that the tape direction is correct. The unit enters the volume level setting mode.
To activate or change the timer (with the previous setting), follow steps 1 to 7 on pages 20 and 21. � If you want to change the timer setting after the Daily Timer be used, first deactivate the timer.

Select the volume level.
On the remote control: Press UP or DOWN to set the volume level, then press CLOCK/TIMER. On the unit: Press ¢ or 4 to set the volume level, then press TIMER/SNOOZE. � You can select the volume level (�VOLUME � �� and �VOLUME 0� to �VOLUME 40�). If you select �VOLUME � �,� the volume is set to the previous level when the unit was turned off. � To turn off the volume while the Recording Timer (REC TUNER) is working, set the volume level �VOLUME 0.� The unit enters the clock setting mode.
� If the unit is turned on when the timer on-time comes Timer does not work. � When you unplug the power cord or if a power failure occurs The timer will be canceled. You need to set the clock first, then the timer again.
