Tuner Operation
You can listen to FM and AM stations by tuning in manually, automatically, or using preset memory. For best reception, extend the headphone cord (FM antenna) for FM and turn the unit for AM.

Presetting stations
You can preset up to 20 FM stations (frequencies) and 10 AM stations (frequencies).

Select FM or AM.
Setting the AM frequency interval (except the U.S.A. and Canada)
When shipped, the AM freguency interval is set to 9 kHz. You can change it to 10 kHz to suit to your country. When you change it, always remove the AC adaptor and the batteries from the unit beforehand.

Select the station you want to preset.
Use Manual or Auto tuning mentioned earlier.

Select the preset number you want. FM : 01~20  AM : 01~10 

Press ¢ or 4 repeatedly to select a station you want. Preset number
Auto tuning
Hold down ¢ or 4 for a while and then release it. The frequency automatically changes up or down to find the next station.

Preset the stations beforehand. (See �Presetting stations�.)
Changing the FM reception mode
When a broadcast is in stereo, �ST.� lights up and you can hear stereo effects. However, if an FM stereo broadcast is hard to receive or noisy, you can select monaural (MONO) mode. Reception improves, but you lose the stereo effect.

Select FM or AM.
To select the monaural mode
�MONO� appears.

Select the preset number you want.
PRESET DOWN PRESET UP
Press MODE/FM MODE once again. �MONO� will go out.
Notes:
